The building of a vibrant platform for C of E Birmingham's Youth Work

Mastering content architecture

Our brief was to design and build a vibrant online home for the Church of England Birmingham’s incredible work with young people. Our biggest challenge was to design an intuitive content architecture for a vast resource database and make sure every single page gently guided users to their next step, boosting sign-ups and helping them quickly find the information they need.

During the design phase, we guided the team through a strategic process of site content architecture. This approach ensured that information was organised logically, allowing users to consume content in digestible sections.

Empowering User Journeys

  • Strategic Content Architecture: Resulting in an intuitive user journey that encourages longer site engagement and drives sign-ups for valuable resources and events.
  • Cohesive Online Brand Identity: The final aesthetic is a fresh, bright and varied color scheme, incorporating modern gradients throughout the site, visually optimised for the youthwork community.
  • Considered User Flows: Every page on the Toolshed website is designed with a clear call to action. We meticulously crafted the user experience to ensure that visitors never encounter a dead end, always knowing what their next step could be, whether it’s downloading a resource, signing up for training, or exploring further content.
